Information
Paices Wood Country Parkland is situated just 1 mile south of Aldermaston on the A340.
With ample car parking facilities, waymarked walks around the ancient woodland and lakes, Paices Wood is a tranquil haven. Interpretation boards around the park tell you the story of Paices Wood.
Bring the family for a picnic on a sunny day or walk your dogs. Please be a responsible owner and clean up after your dog and use the dog waste bins provided in the Main Car Park. This is especially important around the paths the lakes and the main grasslands as these are the areas where children are most likely to come into contact with any mess left behind.
Gates to the Country Parkland are opened and closed by a local security company that patrol the Park to ensure that everyone is out before locking them at night.
Volunteers - West Berkshire Countryside Society formed by combining the friends of the Pang Kennet & Lambourn Valleys,The Bucklebury Heathland Conservation Group, The Pang Valley Conservation Volunteers and The Barn Owl Group, will arrange events from time to time using their volunteers to continue the work they have been doing over the years to support Paices Wood.
Please check out our opening times page before setting out, or check the notice board in the main car park.
We also welcome Corporate Volunteer days. Just contact the Estate Office to arrange on 0118 981 7166.
